Your child may come home using language such as 'Catastrophe Ladder' or 'Problem Solving'. Our school has implemented a Catastrophe Ladder to assist students to identify the severity of their problem and who they can ask in order to solve their problem. Students and teachers have identified examples for each level of and appropriate reactions to the problem. These differ from Kindergarten to Year Six as older students are better equipped to problem solve. The Catastrophe Ladder aims to support students in the school-wide values and to have a deep understanding of how they can solve problems and who can help them.
